This is where all of my patterns will be kept. I'll be tagging them so you can go straight to your favourites. The tags will appear in a list on the right. Just right click the link that says "Download and Print" to save the larger image to your hard drive. Then print it and get colouring! If you like your coloured-in picture, take a photo of it or scan it and send it to me. There is a Flickr group that I've set up for your coloured in patterns. I'll post the best to the blog. Keep checking back for the latest uploads!
Although all of the patterns are shown in strips the full downloadable image is much larger. On the left is a thumbnail example of how a full image looks.
Here's Jonny Wan's pattern that neatly sums up the motto of this site, "I love shapes"! We really love this pattern and we're sure you'll love it too. Print it out and colour it for all your worth. The 200th pattern is next.
Please break open your colours as Sophie Messing returns with another brilliant pattern. Send us your photos of your coloured in patterns, we'd love to see what you do with them.
It is our third birthday this week. We hope you've enjoyed three years of pattern colouring!
Here's a very special post that I've been meaning to make for some time. As you are aware Japan suffered a terrible disaster on 11 March 2011. Natsuki Otani, a contributor to this blog and also one of the founders of the very splendid Illustration Rally, set up a creative response to help the plight of those affected. My submission to this rally may be a little late in the day but I hope that you will respond in kind. Below is a colour version of my response to the Ganbare Nippon rally and below that is a link to a B/W outline colouring page where you can create your own version. Please visit and view the amazing submissions already posted on Illustration Rally and please use the links on their site to make a donation.
Stephen Chan swoops in to deliver his addition to the growing pattern library: "Little Escher's Building Blocks". This pattern is right up our street - I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun colouring it.

Today I'm adding four new guest patterns. The first from Antonio Gutierrez, otherwise known as Tony Retrobot, is a great pattern of cogs.

A really simple pattern. Use it to draw as many faces as you can think of.

This little beauty winged its way from Ecuador where Jason Cook is currently based. Jason (also known as Jacey/Flatliner/Jaroslav) is working his way around the world but still managed to squeeze in some time to take part in this project. I wonder where he's headed next? I'm very jealous!

A little while ago I asked some illustrators to provide me with some new patterns. This is the first of the results and what a great start. Ben the Illustrator is a lover of colour and his portfolio is bulging with vibrant artwork. This is a great piece called "I Love Nature" and gives you the chance to make your own colourful masterpiece.
There will be more guest patterns to download shortly. Keep checking the site for updates.
